Only a few hours left and the year 2025 will officially close and open up a new year filled with new hopes. As usual, we are here again, sharing our joys and sorrows, successes or regrets to draw many lessons and move towards a more stable new year. If you have anything to share, dear readers, do not hesitate to comment below the article, I am ready to listen to everything.
Since this is a blog post, let's discuss it first.
I don't know what else to say, but last year we certainly witnessed the explosion of large language models (LLMs) in the programming industry in particular and many other fields in general. We have seen the emergence of many new tools, many things that were previously unimaginable now appearing more frequently, such as various tools supporting code generation, debugging, or even creating a complete application with minimal human intervention. The term Vibe Code and Generative AI tools have changed the way programmers solve problems.
According to statistics from Google Analytics, all metrics for the blog in 2025 have decreased significantly compared to 2024. The number of visitors to the blog has dropped by more than 30%, the average interaction time has decreased by over 10%. The number of users discovered through search has also decreased by more than 30%. Direct visitors have dropped by nearly 20%. Overall, this is a result strong enough to overshadow all achievements after more than a year of building. But why is that?
It is very clear, I think it is due to the development of large language models, the way these language models change the behavior of programmers. Now, instead of trying to solve problems on search tools, StackOverflow... users just need to ask AI, interact directly with AI, or ask them to write code, debug without much effort. This is exactly what many programmers have dreamed of, right? We have moved from being "laborers" to becoming "master workers" who are responsible for guiding the workforce to work according to our instructions.
So, is there nothing brighter?
Yes! Over the past year, I have written 27 new articles, created a new category called Posts, and written 17 new articles. Speaking of the reason for creating Posts, this category is specifically for writing articles that are neither too short nor too long. Maintaining long articles takes a lot of time and effort while there are many other things to do. Do you still remember Threads? The short article category has been over a year old, and this year it has added 370 new articles with a frequency of almost one article a day. Can you believe it? Every day there is a short news piece that I want to share with you.
Overall, 2024 was a busy year of reading and writing. I read many literary books both domestically and internationally. Never have I read so much, and I must admit that not reading earlier is a significant oversight. Each work carries its own unique charm, touching the hearts of readers; many tears have fallen as if living and witnessing the story through each line. Because of this, I published my first short story collection titled "The Stranger After the Drum," marking a milestone in my writing career. Though I know it is still nothing, it affirms my determination in this field.
I secured a new job, learned many new things, and became familiar with new technologies, applying them in my work. Although it might not be much, at least I am making progress every day.
There isn't much compared to the previous year, 2025 has flown by like the wind, and in the new year, I hope to maintain my current momentum. The important thing is to continue to monitor the development of large language models; who knows, one day they might do all our work.
